our story

Flō began as wild land—a hillside in Uvita once only accessible by a horse trail. Dr. Ben House and Stevie Gongora fell in love with it the moment they slid down to see it (literally, on their butts). Alongside Jhonder Padilla, who still stewards the land to this day, they built Flō by hand, in community, from the ground up.
Years later, a quiet twist of fate brought our family here. What started as a visit turned into a deep remembering. We sat under the trees, breathed differently, and felt something we didn’t even know we were missing. So we stayed.
Now, we run Flō as a family—creating space for rest, movement, and reconnection. We see this not as ownership, but as caretaking. The land is the healer. We just try to listen.
This is the dream we never knew we had.
And it’s our joy to share it with you.
our philosophy

Environmental stewardship
At Flō, we honor the jungle that holds us—minimizing waste, conserving resources, and working with the land, not against it. From water conservation to eco-conscious design, every detail is intentional.

community connection
We believe transformation happens in safe, shared spaces. Whether it’s passing a bowl of fruit, sharing stories in circle, or showing up with presence, community is the current that carries us.

flow state
Flō isn’t just a place—it’s a frequency. Through rhythm, nature, movement, and mindfulness, we create the conditions for you to drop in fully and meet yourself where presence lives.
the experience
Flō Retreat Center is a sanctuary for seekers—those drawn to inner work, embodiment, and the healing power of nature. Whether you’re here for a breathwork journey, yoga training, or to move your body and deepen your craft, Flō meets you where you are.
Set in the jungle hills of Uvita, our space blends the mystical with the practical. From cacao ceremonies to cold plunges, guided meditations to gym circuits, every offering is grounded in presence and possibility. Come solo or come with your crew. This is where transformation lives.
