retreat description
Shine under the night sky with glow sticks during ecstatic dance, strut your stuff in a sensual style dance class, embark on a self painted flow yoga class and much much more! Each day will be a themed adventure, complete with suggested outfits and provided props. But don't worry, this isn't just about having fun (although, let's be real, that's a big part of it!) - you'll also experience a plethora of movement practices that will help you connect with your body and tap into your inner confidence. Yes, this course counts as continued education hours on YogaAlliance.org AND it’s can even help you fulfill the 50HR Creative Sequencing module for the Authentic Movements Hybrid 300HR program .
Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a total newbie, a dancer or a wallflower, The Moving Canvas is open to all levels and preferences. Every class is optional, and you can participate to whatever degree you want - or simply observe and soak it all in. There's no pressure to be perfect or do what others are doing, just a space to be yourself and have fun. So come as you are (or come as you want to be!) with no expectations or pretenses, and let the playfulness and creativity of this retreat guide you on your own unique journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Let’s Move Together!

Erin Lazzaro
Erin (Owner/Manager)was born and raised in Sarasota, FL. After graduating high school she moved to New York City to pursue musical theater and dance. Her passion for the stage lead her to have a thriving professional career over the next 10+ years touring nationally and regionally and appearing on TV as a performer. During this time she went to massage therapy school and became a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist, creating a business (Massage by Erin) that supported dancers and performers, helping them heal and move better. Today, Erin is a 500-hour certified yoga teacher dedicated to making movement creative, accessible, and joyful for all. She believes in movement as a powerful tool for healing, self-expression, and community.
Alongside her husband and their dog Georgia and her parents, Erin co-owns and operates Flo Retreat Center—a space rooted in community, healing, and self-discovery. She now splits her time between Costa Rica, where she and her husband run wellness retreats, and NYC, where she continues to reinvent herself in the worlds of theater and wellness.
When she’s not obsessing over creativity and movement she’s either surfing, thrift shopping, coffee hopping, or being as loud and ridiculous as possible on the streets on NYC.

Stevi Gongora
Stevi Góngora (@casa_colibri) is a contemporary movement and aerials educator based in Austin, TX. A lifelong athlete, Stevi’s early years were filled with gymnastics, dance, and track. While studying human physiology in college, she discovered a passion for pole and aerial arts, which led her to explore yoga and yoga-inspired movement. Today, she blends these diverse disciplines with strength training, creative transitions, and functional programming to offer a fresh and innovative approach to fitness.
Stevi’s teaching style is characterized by precise anatomical cueing, unique prop usage, and a creative, funky flow. She excels at making complex movements accessible and encourages authentic expression through movement. Her love for inversions inspired her to author two books: “Guide to Handstand” and “Guide to Handstand Pressing.”
Through her school, Authentic Movements, Stevi often leads trainings, retreats, and intensives, creating educational materials that excel in the nuanced and evolving fields of biomechanics and movement science.
Stevi is happily married, with a daughter and two dogs. She recently returned to Austin, TX, to deepen her family roots after successfully building, running, and selling a retreat center in Costa Rica. When she’s not on the mat, Stevi enjoys reading, writing, outdoor activities, and spending quality time with friends and family.
