Finding the Flō Shuttle

Exit the airport and turn right

Walk ~50m to Malinche Restaurant

Look for someone holding a Flō Retreat Center sign

Give them your name to check in
Do not take a taxi. You will be overcharged and the shuttle won't wait
Customs + Immigration

Have your passport and proof of departure (flight screenshot)

Immigration may ask: your job, destination (Flō Retreat Center, Uvita), and trip length

After immigration, collect your bag and pass one more customs scan

Manejando sur en Costanera 34 desde Dominical. En Uvita central, dobla a la izquierda entre el Gollo y Banco (BCR). Sigue derecho para 1.5 KM, pasando el cementerio. Llega al río con puente nuevo. Pasa el río y bosque de bambú y continua subiendo la montaña para 1.5 KM. Pasa el río segundo y nuestra casa es el primero portón al lado derecha. Flō is located 2.5KM up the mountain from central Uvita and requires a 4x4 vehicle. Be sure to let your cab driver know—shared shuttles are already aware.
From Hwy 34 (the coastal highway):
In Uvita, turn east toward the mountains at the main intersection (landmarks: Banco de Costa Rica, Gollo, El Toro Loco). Follow the paved road for about 1KM, passing shops and the cemetery.
When the pavement ends, continue straight on the unmarked dirt road (Calle La Faralla). At the first fork, stay right.
After 300M, you’ll cross a small bridge into a bamboo forest—yep, it’s as magical as it sounds. 300M later, take the larger road on the left going uphill (look for the Flō sign and arrow).
Stay on this road for 1KM. It’s a bit bumpy, but nothing your 4x4 can’t handle.
After crossing a small stream, look for the Flō Retreat Center gate on the right. The driveway leads 250M down to the main building and off-loading area. If you miss it, turn around at the manager’s house just ahead.
